Trabajos seleccionados en los Pritzker 2017 que premian a RCR Arquitectos
El pasado mes de marzo supimos que el trio de arquitectos catalanes Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem y Ramon Vilalta, han sido nombrados ganadores del Premio Pritzker 2017, tal como anunciaba Tom Pritzker, CEO de la Hyatt Foundation, principal valedor del premio, considerado el más alto galardón internacional a nivel de arquitectura. Como esto ya es algo que saben nuestros lectores, y el público en general, hoy queremos aportar un material diferente, la selección de obras que ha tenido en cuenta la organización para entregar el premio.

Es la primera vez que un trio es reconocido en su labor conjunta, y ya es la segunda vez -tras el éxito de Rafael Moneo en 1996- que se premia a arquitectos de España.
Para la organización, el estudio RCR merece el premio porque “ha trabajado en estrecha colaboración durante casi 30 años y estableció su oficina en Olot, su ciudad natal, ubicada en la región catalana en el noreste de España, resistiendo el llamado de la metrópoli en favor de permanecer estrechamente conectado a sus raíces. Todas sus obras tienen un fuerte sentido del lugar y están fuertemente conectadas con el paisaje circundante“
